What Does it Mean to be YOU
Yoga is not just about asana. It’s a complete philosophy and way of living, an exploration of the Self through many interwoven threads — physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual.
When you open the door to Yoga (As I did 35 years ago), you step into a lifelong journey of curiosity, reflection, and connection — connection to your body, to others, and to something greater than yourself.
🌿 What Is Yoga?
Yoga, from the Sanskrit root yuj, means “to unite” — the union of body, mind, and spirit; the merging of individual consciousness with universal consciousness.
Most people first meet Yoga through asana, the physical postures. Asana is only one of eight interconnected limbs that guide us inward toward awakening and harmony.
The Eight Limbs of Yoga, as outlined in Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, form a holistic framework for living consciously:
🕊️ A Living Practice
My mantra — “to practice individually and together” — perfectly encapsulates yoga’s essence. Each practitioner walks their unique path, yet we are all part of a shared rhythm and wisdom.
Yoga is not about levels or perfection; it’s about presence, listening, and cultivating alignment from the inside out — physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
Through the Yamas, Niyamas, and the unfolding of each limb, we begin to live yoga — not only on the mat, but in every part of our being
Always be curious and enjoy your journey
